I share my knowledge. I share my story. I am an open book.
Through my perinatal supports, I provide parents with the education and supports they need to prepare for birth, baby, and postpartum. These services reduce family stress and the likelihood of traumatic birth experiences and postpartum mood disorders (e.g. postpartum depression). Parents need accurate information about birth and postpartum, and the sharing of real birth and postpartum experiences so they can prepare for life with a newborn. I build trusting relationships with families, help them prepare while they're pregnant, AND provide informational, practical, and hands-on supports postpartum. I am there to answer all the questions - nothing related to birth and postpartum is off limits. The outcome is empowered parents who are confident in their decision making, knowledgeable about what to expect, and ready to reach out for support when they need it.
Through my counselling supports, I help parents and those planning to become parents address mental emotional health issues and increase their wellbeing. I provide trauma-informed counselling that identifies and addresses underlying issues and practical advice to help increase wellbeing - all in the context of relationships and parenthood.
I am the mother to an amazing little boy.
